Since its establishment, Rickey Tarfa & Co., has made the development and training of legal practitioners especially fresh graduates as one of its top priorities and goals. The firm has since 1992, served as a training firm for students of the Nigerian Law School on law office externship and over the years the firm has been able to provide these students with the basic foundation required in legal practice.

As a policy, the firm does not reject law externship students posted by the Nigerian Law School in spite of space constraints but strives to ensure that these students make the best use of the attachment period as the students are carried through the process of developing the proper decorum, dressing and upright conduct required of legal practitioners while tutorials in the students study areas/subjects are conducted by the firm to assist these students with their academics.
